**Preliminary summery**
A nice well cared for example of the Southerly 105, a sturdy, spacious and very versatile lifting keel family cruiser.
The accommodation has been cleverly designed around the lifting keel and delivers a light, spacious & homely feel. In addition to the well-equipped galley, this vessel has a large aft cabin, practical fwd cabin, plenty of berths, good head room, ample stowage and a good sized heads compartment. A feature of the 105 is a Dual steering position with interior wheel steering and a good sized cockpit.
This yacht was designed to easily take the ground and could be suitable for a drying mooring.
The Southerly 105 was one of the designs which started the now renowned range of lifting keel cruisers from Southerly, some of the features found in this capable cruiser have been carried on to later boats produced throughout the range. During a production run spanning 6 years up to 1984 over 100 Southerly 105’s were built before the slightly larger Southerly 115 model started production to continue the theme.
With her lifting keel, and Southerly’s acknowledged ability to ‘float on a damp lawn’ a pilothouse design offering great accommodation within its modest dimensions. The Southerly 105 offers a very flexible cruising ability for a boat of her modest size.
