Just some more info about the boat.
Engine and shaft etc re-aligned and sorted to high standard. Excellent engineer. The same guy who rewired her and did the navionics and radar and etc. All to a high standard. Pre-wired with electronics suitable for lithium batteries.
Be sure to show him the switch board with the lights.
I put two new leisure batteries in in September.
Complete suite of sails. There is another forestay which can be put in. It has a removable tensioner and can be used to hank on jibs (there are three) so you can set on 5 sails if you wish.
2 spinnakers. One for light airs.
There is a mizzen staysail as well.
The main and Genoa are serviceable and are serviced every year. The main will need replacing at some time. But it will do for a good while.
On a strong beam reach, sailing with just the Genoa and mizzen is a fantastic sail. You fly along in a stately way.
Also she loves especially the port tack into the wind. Champs at the bit. She just pulls so strongly. It’s exhilarating. See video.
Wonderfully balanced boat. With the sails set you can steer with one finger in the strongest winds.
Excellent navionics. The cockpit screen is so useful.
Sleeps 4 comfortably. Very cosy main cabin after a day’s sailing.
The fridge makes the boat so useable. Once cold it uses very few amps. My father did freezers so I knew how to sort very good ventilation for the compressor and it paid off.
The cushions and covers have been cleaned and serviced, the needlework being done by my own surgeon’s hands. They are at home.
A strong northwest popped out the fenders and she rubbed on the pontoon. I’m waiting for better weather before painting her.
We did £10K work on her last year mainly to stop leaks. She is quite dry but a wooden boat is never completely waterproof, but she nearly is.
I’ve had her 8 years. She’s been varnished at least once a year and any issues have been immediately dealt with.
