The Waddenvaarder 25.40 Rijnvaart is a historic Dutch barge located in Zuid Nederland, Netherlands, with an overall length of 25.40 metres and a beam of 5.00 metres. Originally built in 1902 as a sailing estuary freighter to supply the German Wadden Islands, the ship underwent significant modifications in 1953, including an extension, a raised stern, and remotorisation. In the 1970s, it was adapted into a workship with a deck crane, and since 1985, it has served as a cruising houseboat. The current owner has sailed it across Western Europe, including a voyage to Briare, France, by reducing its air draft through dismantling certain elements. This fully autonomous vessel is Rhine certified and equipped with solar panels, a generator, and an inverter. The aft cabin currently functions as a workshop but can be converted back into a cabin.
