The Truman 30, a 9.14-metre cruising yacht, offers an exceptional blend of quality craftsmanship and robust design, ideal for both family adventures and short-handed sailing. Designed by Angus Primrose and constructed by Nick Truman Yachts Ltd., this vessel features a beam of 3.20 metres and was built in 1978. Crafted with woven roving fibreglass and boasting a traditional cast iron ballast keel, the Truman 30 showcases superior build strength and durability. With only seven ever made, its scarcity amplifies its appeal. The yacht provides ample accommodation with 7 berths, a well-appointed teak interior, and a galley equipped with an Isotherm refrigeration unit and Plastimo Neptune 2000 cooker. Modernised with diesel-fired central heating and a Raytheon R10 radar, it remains a model of reliability and innovation. Sails include a Dacron partially battened mainsail with a Burgundy stack pack, supplemented by a Rotostay roller reefing system. The Truman 30 stands out with its comprehensive navigation suite, solid Volvo Penta 2003 engine, and burgundy-coloured canvas work, enhancing its high-performance capabilities and classic charm.
The Truman 30, designed by Angus Primrose. She is the same hull as the Moody 30 but better built!
The fit out of these boats is much better quality and she has stood the test of time accordingly. This is a robust cruising yacht with 7 berths, ideal for a family but easy to sail short handed too.
They don't come up often as only 7 were built!
