Summary
Westbound Adventure is a 1983 Sigma 33 Cruser designed by David Thomas. Known for being a fast, stable, and capable offshore boat suitable for cruising. The original OOD version has a deep fin keel and fractional rig, while this "detuned" cruising version was also produced from 1981 onwards with a shorter mast and shallower wing tamden keel.She has accommodation for up to seven berths. Despite its age they have a proven its heavy-weather ability, with some boats having circumnavigated the globe.
Westbound benfits from a 2006 Beta engine, electric windlass, heating. She has also maintained to RYA and MCA standards during her 20 years as a sail training vessel, with 5 year out of the water inspections and annual in water RYA inspections.
Construstion
The Sigma 33 cruiser is constructed from hand-laid GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) with a foam-cored floor and integral bulkheads. Early versions had off-white hulls, while later models featured white hulls and decks. They are built with a fin keel, spade rudder with tiller steering, and a single-skin GRP hull.

Accomodation
