Notes

Built as INNOVISION for Dutch ownership, this yacht was a special and highly specified build. Hull number 006 of the 80’ model, she featured important upgrades to earlier examples - notably the increased freeboard with better headroom inside, the extended stern, plus a heavier keel (that then became the standard on later 80’s). Her deck plan, interior and systems were carefully specified.

I remember seeing the yacht in Palma when she was new. She was sold in 2004 to an Austrian owner and renamed CONQUISTADOR (who later owned 80-003 by the same name).

In January 2007 she was sold again to Italian ownership. Sadly, ill health meant she was again sold on in 2010 to the UK and renamed ISLAND FLING, with her home port Southampton. During this ownership we understand that she was used for only a few months each season for the owner and his family cruising the Portuguese, Spanish and Med ports whilst wintering out of the water in the UK. In 2012 her teak decking was replaced.

Throughout the different ownerships, she was owned by seasoned sailors and run by professional crew.

In autumn 2021 she was placed on sale. The current owner first saw her in December 2021 and finalised his purchase June 2022. The name was changed to ZADIG and her flag was changed to Malta.
