KARMA is the first Maxi Dolphin 75 designed by Mark Mills and built by the Italian yard Maxi Dolphin, designed to be the highest performance cruiser that remains easy to sail and handle shorthanded. The key points of the project are the weight and sail areas to maximize performance: the yacht is entirely constructed with Corecell sandwich and carbon fibre, combining simplicity with lightness. She is equipped with Cariboni lifting keel system to maximize performance, yet remains useable and with the ability to enter most ports with a draft from 2.80 metres to 4.80 metres. Interior and deck designed from Nauta Yacht Design, KARMA is a modern sportster with a minimalist character inside and out.

Construction

The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Hull and deck are built in female moulds and are laminated as a sandwich with CFRP (pre-preg) with Corecell.

Keel & Rudder:

• Cariboni Hydraulic Lifting Keel from 4.8m to 2.8m.
• It is made of a steel blade and lead bulb.
• Twin rudders.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Volvo Penta D3-150s five cylinder turbo-charged diesel engine.
• Wide Engine Room completely soundproofed, with double access (from liftable stairs and through the door in the crew head) with compression closures and seals for maximum sealing.
• Engine Room lighting.

Maintenance & Performance:

• Enigine hours - 672 @ March 2024.

Propulsion & Steering:
