Accommodation
The Hardy 27 accommodation offers up to 4 berths in the cabin and wheelhouse with 6' 3" maximum headroom.
LOWER CABIN: Consisting of a wrap-around seating area with a central teak table that drops to form a large double berth (6'6 x 5'), useful storage areas, portlights, and an opening hatch.
GALLEY: Linear galley to starboard equipped with a Plastimo Neptune 2000 2-burner gas cooker with grill and oven, stainless steel sink with hot and cold water supply, fridge, and storage lockers.
HEADS: Separate heads compartment to port with a Jabsco marine toilet with diverter valve to a holding tank with overboard discharge (new 2022), washbasin, shower, mirror, and storage.
WHEELHOUSE SALOON: Fitted with a swivelling helm bucket seat and aft seat to port, and a larger settee to starboard. The helm seat is removable and the whole area can be converted into an additional double berth when required. Excellent levels of ventilation and light are provided by the wheelhouse windows, bi-fold doors, and large sliding roof hatch.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Pressurised hot and cold water supplied throughout via a calorifier with an immersion coil. Stainless steel holding tank (new 2022). High-quality teak interior joinery with blue upholstery (new 2022) and teak and holly soleboards.
EXTERIOR: Twin teak bi-fold wheelhouse doors open onto the self-draining aft cockpit with full canopy, L-shaped seating, large lazarette providing good storage, and a walk-thru transom to the moulded bathing platform. Ample grab rails are provided with good side deck access and 'Eireney' is fitted with a pulpit, stanchions, and lifelines to further increase confidence and safety when going forward.
Mechanical Systems
Located under cockpit sole, single Volvo Penta TAMD31D four-cylinder, 100hp turbo diesel engine. Fresh water cooled via heat exchanger. Morse-type single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive with Ambassador rope cutter to fixed three-bladed bronze propeller (new 2023). Trim tabs (new 2021). The engine is in good cosmetic condition, benefits from a recently rebuilt seawater pump and has run for circa 2050hrs since new, indicating a healthy average use of around 110hrs per season. Fuel economy is considered to be very good, with previous owners reporting consumption rates of less than 4 litres per hour at 6kts.
Electrical Systems
2 x 12v Batteries (new 2024) charged via engine alternator. Dedicated bow thruster battery. Shorepower system with battery charger, immersion coil for water heating, and ring mains. Full cabin lighting.

Hardy 27 built by Hardy Marine Ltd in 1994 to a Colin Mudie design. White GRP hull with blue styling stripe, superstructure, and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Self-draining aft cockpit with walk-thru transom door. Moulded GRP bathing platform.
