African Challenge is a fantastic sailing racer/cruiser which is comfortable for up to 8 adults in 3 cabins and a saloon bed with 1 heads. She is a Simonis Voogd Fast 42 built by Fast Yachts in South Africa to ECB/CE category A standards. The yacht has been with the same owner since new, 2002, and has mainly been used for long distance family cruising holidays from South Africa to Mozambique and long-distance racing in South Africa, Mozambique and Dublin (ISORAs). She also sailed a few short course races in Durban & Dublin Bay. African Challenge’s longest journey was from Durban to Dublin in 2010. She’s sadly not been sailed for the last number of years, however lots of essential maintenance and upgrades were completed and she is sail ready.
