History & Construction

A highly successful model, with nearly 900 of the Dufour 31's sold from 1973 onward, this

is one of the later boats built in 1980, hull number 619.

With hull, deck and superstructure designed by Michel Dufour. they were considered to be

'cruiser racers' in their day and with their masthead rig they still represent a surprisingly fast

cruiser with immense volume.

This example has the 1.73m/5'8" cast iron fin keel and tiller steering.

The deck hatches and side windows were re-glazed recently, while the coach-roof styling

stripe/window line was also refinished in black two-part paint last year.
