Remarks
My photos show the boat back in commission late June 2025 as well as in winterized state in back in April. Like every year, she was taken out at the end of the season for =/- 6 months ashore. Everything is prepared for wintering. Equipment removed and stored in a dry place at the owner's premises (cushions, ropes, electronics, sails, safety, etc.) What remains on board is prepared it in such a way as to withstand the elements, cupboards open, floorboards lifted, etc. On the deck, many elements are covered for protection. A quick pressure wash, a few protective touch-ups. Bottom was sanded, keel refaired and new antifoul June 2025.
This is an owner with a lot of experience, well organized and caring. Kookaburra is in great condition.
The cradle visible in my photos could be sold with the boat at a small extra cost..
Kookaburra has been used quite little, especially in recent years – 4 outings in 2024. It's time for the boat to find a new skipper and crew for cruising or racing. The owner will help the buyer understand everything and, if necessary, will probably find the little thing you are missing in his garage.
Mechanics
Yanmar 3YM30 engine, 29hp, saildrive, new folding propeller.
2 service batteries and 1 engine battery all from 2022, charged by recent Victron charger or alternator. 220V shore power with cable and on-board circuit.
Sails & Rigging
Hall Spars aluminium mast and boom. 2 sets of spreaders. Dynema backstay (original stainless steel cable in reserve). Facnor headsail furling gear from 2015. (headfoil available). Halyards, sheets and other cordage in high-end fibres, new or almost, Spectra, Dynema .... Hall Spars carbon spinnaker pole.
Mainly Technique Voile sails.
Mainsail and genoa in grey DCX (Cruising Laminate) from 2015.
North Sails white symmetrical spinnaker from 2009.
Blue asymmetrical spinnaker from 2015 and Code 0 in CZ on furler from 2022.
All these sails are in excellent condition, if not like new.
The seller has other new DCX cruising sails and new carbon and Kevlar regatta sails available at additional price by negotiation.
Deck
Pulpits, stanchions and guardwires in stainless steel. Lewmar electric windlass from 2019 with 80m of 8mm Force 7 chain, and Fortress anchor. Remote controls. Leather-covered steering wheel with cover. Harken deck and rig fittings. 6 Harken self tailing winches. Cockpit hand shower. Bathing ladder. Life raft locker behind the helm. 8-person raft – Certificate expired 2024.
Electronics
Full NKE instrumentation with log, sounder, wind and autopilot. Wireless handheld control. Garmin Echomap 5v GPS plotter 2022 at helm. At the chart table, Furuno Navtex, Navicom RT550 DSC VHF radio with AIS reception and laptop with MaxSea Time Zero. The computer is connected to the NKE but not to the VHF for AIS. New, never installed but provided, Digital Yacht AIS module with all its kit. Navicom portable VHF. Clock, barometer / hygrometer / thermometer.
Accommodation
Double cabins fore and aft. 2 settee berths in the saloon. Starboard aft toilet compartment. All the upholstery is in excellent condition. Foldable saloon table.
Kitchen with stainless steel sink. Hot and cold pressure water. Hot water from engine or 220V. New hot tank 2024. Seawater with foot pump. 12v fridge. 2-burner gas stove and oven.
Toilet compartment with sink, shower and SFA Sanimarin electric macerator 31 marine toilet.
Numerous portlights and deck hatches. Blinds.
The top step of the companionway is dismantled because the owner finds it too high and therefore dangerous.
