Construction

Both hull and deck mouldings are laid up in accordance with Northshore's Nordseal system.

The hull topsides has a 1/2 inch balsa core sandwich and is double gel-coated in blue.

The cored topsides provide both panel stiffness and thermal insulation.

The sandwich construction is stopped 6 inch's short for the waterline. Below this to the hull centerline is solid single laminate with a clear gel-coat which Copper coat is applied in 2015.

The Hull is supported by GRP base mouldings incorporates transverse floors, longitudinals, and the bulkheads are glassed in to the hull and deck.

The engine seating has gelcoat coated surface and forms an integral drip tray.

The ballast lead keel of 8,198lbs is fully encapsulated into the whole moulding and over laminated.

The deck is half inch balsa accord laminate with polished gelcoat to receive the teak deck which was replaced in 2020.

The coach rooftop is three-quarter inch balsa core laminate with moulded non-skid surface and is integral with cockpit and deck. Solid ply reinforcements are fitted in lieu of balsa for strength were fixing is passed through the laminate to prevent the core crushing in compression. The deck is bonded to a shelf which is in an integral part of the hull. The joint is overlaid with GRP and the cavity between the hull and deck upstand is filled and capped with a teak rail.
