Trojan Yachts is a company that boasts an impressive and storied history in the realm of boat manufacturing. The genesis of the company took place in Pennsylvania in 1949, pioneered by Jim R. McQueen and Harper Hull. They began their journey by crafting a collection of wooden lapstrake outboard cabin cruisers but swiftly moved on to creating a range of express cruisers, sedans, and motor yachts as the brand burgeoned.
During the mid-1960s, Trojan pioneered significant advancements in boat construction. The introductions of the Fibreglass hull and the revolutionary Troglass, a material unique to Trojan, marked key milestones in the company's evolution. They produced the popular Trojan F-32 model, a vessel lauded for its robust, durable design and spacious interior.
Today, Trojan Yachts has found a new home at Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology in Connecticut. Although the original company ceased production in 1992, the exceptional reputation of the Trojan Yachts name lives on. The brainchild of Mcqueen and Hull remains an iconic brand, providing classic, well-crafted boats and serving as a testament to American boat-building heritage.
