Trader Yachts commenced operations in 1979, under the Kha Shing Enterprise established by the Gong brothers in Taiwan, with the sole aim of creating world-class yachts renowned for their exceptional sea-faring capabilities and exceptional quality. Over the years, they prioritised precision, craftsmanship, and reliability, propelling Trader into becoming a reputable and highly-regarded yacht manufacturer. Today, a significant number of the initial models constructed are still operational, showcasing the endurance and harmonious perfection competency that Trader is famous for applying in their yachts.
In 1999, a significant milestone was achieved when Trader became the first Taiwanese yacht brand to fully comply with the Recreational Craft Directive (RCD). This feat not only confirmed their commitment to quality but also enhanced their market appeal worldwide. Trader Yachts have also diversified their range, ensuring every vessel that leaves their facility is fully bespoke and tailored to each owner's particular requirements.
Fast-forward to the 21st Century, the brand's operations now span across Europe and North America, maintaining its commitment to creating luxurious yachts that are reliable and comfortable. Although the company's operational base remains in Taiwan, an additional production facility is now located in the United Kingdom under the name of Tarquin Boat Company. Trader Yachts continues to evolve, bringing together classic designs and modern innovations in their vessels while upholding their long-standing reputation for reliability and exceptional craftsmanship.
