The project is the no. 282, the owner has a copy of the original plans. Third owner, the first has kept her for a couple of years, the second over 20 years, and the current one for about 22. The boat has sailed every year and has been the object of assiduous care; any worn detail has always been replaced with the spirit of leaving the boat as original as possible. L'Alpa 9 è un progetto di John Illingworth, l'inventore della regata Sydney Hobart ed uno dei più grandi progettisti navali moderni. Il progetto è il nr. 282, il proprietario possiede una copia dei piani originali. Quarto proprietario, il primo l'ha tenuta un paio d'anni, il secondo oltre 20 anni, e terzo circa 22, attuale 5 anni.
