1980 Westerly Discus. A spacious fin keeled sloop with well-respected sea going capabilities, that has been well looked after through thorough maintenance and upgrades.
This is evident throughout the 15 years ‘Kayos’ has been with her current owners, with her gearbox replaced (2020), all new batteries (2021), her fuel tank serviced and professionally cleaned (2021), along with her throttle and steering cable replaced (2018).
Her sails have also been serviced and laundered (2023) and her standing rigging has been replaced (2016) and professionally checked (2021). This along with more, makes her a prime example of one of Laurent Giles most popular westerly designs and gives confidence to her reliability as a cruiser.
She is ideal for a sailing family or for those with crew as she can berth up to 7 and her bridge deck design allows for ample space below without squeezing the cockpit. A survey was conducted in 2023 and is available upon request. This 33ft cruiser, capable of everything from local cruising to bluewater voyages is ready to set sail, and is currently afloat in Gosport ready for viewing.
