Deneb K is a totally unique Gaff Ketch with heaps of character & traditional style, although over 80 years old Deneb K has been respectfully modernized and now boasts a new Beta Engine with less than 100 hours! Extensive other work has been completed and details can be found further in the listing, with a bit more love and a slight tidy up Deneb K will be ready to turn heads once again.

Built: 1938
The Hull is of Carvel construction, with 1?" larch planking on oak frames. Every third frame is a substantial grown frame bolted to a grown oak keel floor. Intermediate frames are steamed oak. Fastening into the grown frames are galvanised iron square nails, into the steamed frames fastenings are copper nails and roves.
All frames and floors are believed to be original, with the exception of one keel floor in the region of the engine which has been replaced in laminated ash, and four steamed frames in this area which have been sistered at the turn of the bilge.
The main deck is constructed of 19mm marine ply, supported on oak beams and sheathed with epoxy/glass fibre, finished with Kiwi Deck non-slip paint. The coach roof consists of elm sides with a softwood T&G deck, again sheathed in epoxy/glass. Upright parts painted with International 2 pack.
The cockpit has been fully rebuilt in 18mm marine ply, new oak beams to the bridge deck, and composite locker lids.
