Redbay Boats are the foremost proponents of building offshore-capable RIBs - designed and constructed to withstand the harshest sea conditions that the Irish Sea can hurl against the massive rocks of the County Antrim coast. Redbay 1650 Explorer Cabin RIB, LADY KATE was therefore built in 2018 with exceptional lay-up weights, substantial structural reinforcement, and a hull shape drawn by the same hand that created many pilot boats and other commercial craft. Combine this remarkable seakeeping ability with a hand-built, luxurious three-cabin interior, and you have a formidably competent alliance of power, speed, and versatility. LADY KATE not only looks the part, but performs her duties with disdain for angry weather, high seas, and challenging operational areas. She is a big, beautiful brute - cut from the same cloth as her cousins, the pilot boats of the Belfast Port Authority. Not one for the faint-hearted, this powerhouse of a RIB is unique, exceptional, and deeply cool.
