The 1979 Westerly GK24 offers a simple, practical interior layout that maximises space for her compact size, making her an ideal starter cruiser or economical weekend yacht.

Accessed via the companionway, the main saloon is bright and functional, with seating to both port and starboard around a central table, creating a comfortable area for dining or relaxing. These saloon settees also convert to additional berths, providing flexible sleeping arrangements.

Forward is the V-berth cabin, which can be used as either two singles or infilled to form a generous double berth. Storage shelving is provided along the hull sides, with additional stowage beneath the berths, offering useful space for cruising gear.

Built in 1979 to 1980 specifications, this Westerky GK24 has a white GRP hull and decks with non-slip surfaces.  Tiller steering. Aluminium toe rails. Stainless steel stanchions and pulpit.  Self-draining cockpit. Last out of the water in 2024 when the hull was polished, anodes were changed, and the coppercoat reactivated. The owner has sailed this yacht for the past 40 years and is selling due to a health issue.

This Westerly GK 24  has a Bermudan sloop fractional rig with an aluminium Masthead deckstepped mast and boom. It has stainless steel standing rigging age unknown, and terelyne running rigging that has been replaced as required. It has a slab reefing mainsail and headfoil headsail. Alloy Spinnaker pole and manually adjustable backstay.

Mechanical Systems:

This Westerly GK 24 is equipped with a single Ferryman 7 HP single-cylinder diesel engine, connected via shaft drive to a 2-bladed folding propeller. The engine was fitted in 2005. Whilst the total engine hours are unknown, it has been maintained annually, including all oils, filters, and engine anodes by the owner. The yacht features a 10-litre plastic fuel tank. It cruises at 4.5 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 5.5 knots.
