A Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) Rigid dive/rescue inflatable combines a rigid inside floor and a soft or inflatable body that provides buoyancy and stability. Divers and rescue teams use this type of craft due to its stability and load capacity. The RIB is also used by the military and law enforcement due to its durability and off-shore capabilities. It features an aluminium, steel or GRP rigid interior floor connected to a hypalon or similar fabric skin, which creates the floor for passengers, equipment, and other items. This boat type also features an independent air tube with inflation bladders, allowing for rapid deployment of the vessel. Furthermore, the independent air tube is situated outside the boat, providing an extra layer of protection from punctures and other hazards.
