A commercial solar-powered boat is a vessel that uses solar energy instead of traditional fossil fuels like diesel, gasoline, and propane for its power source. Often these boats are powered by an electric motor and use photovoltaic cells to generate electricity from the sun. Solar-powered boats are often used on canals, rivers, lakes, and in coastal areas, where they can easily access the sun's energy. They are much quieter than traditional motorboats, and they also have the added bonus of producing zero greenhouse gas emissions. They are also great for reducing operational costs as they require less maintenance, don't need refuelling, and solar cells typically last for 10-20 years with little maintenance.
