Sargo Boats, originally known as Sarin's Boatyard, was founded in 1967 by the pioneering boat builder, Rabbe Sarin in Kokkola, Finland. Sarin recognised the potential and unexplored scope of motors as propulsion in the boating industry when most manufacturers still opted for sails. The enterprise soon gained a reputation for producing high-end, all-season motorboats which are renowned for their robust build, ergonomic design, and deep-V hull performance.
In the 1980s, Rabbe's sons took the helm of the company and significantly modernised their production process incorporating innovative techniques, thus placing Sarin Boats among the pioneers in this sector. True to its roots, the company maintained its precise artisanal approach to boat building, combining it with cutting-edge technology to create crafts that strike a balance between tradition and modernity.
Today, the company operates under the name Sargo Boats, named after its premium all-season boat models. It is still based out of Kokkola and remains a family-run business, with Rabbe's grandson Tobias Sarin now leading the company. Over the decades, Sargo Boats have carved out a niche for themselves as durable, reliable, and high-performance motorboats, loved by marine enthusiasts globally. A half-century since its inception, Sargo Boats continues to uphold its founding principles, building boats that blend Finnish artisanal craftsmanship with smart technology, standing testament to the vision of its founder Rabbe Sarin.
