History of Rio Yachts

Rio Yachts, a prestigious and world-renowned Italian boat builder, began its voyage in 1961. The brand was brought into existence by Luigi Scarani, a passionate boat enthusiast, whose love for boats and the sea led him to craft exquisite powerboats. The initial manufacturing workshop was in Parma, a city in Italy's northern Emilia-Romagna region, where each boat was built with an impressive blend of craftsmanship, innovative design, and quality detailing.

Over the decades, Rio Yachts has become recognised globally for its Italian craftsmanship and luxury yachting experience. The company's steadfast adherence to quality and innovation led to the expansion of their operations throughout Italy and Europe, later extending their footprint globally. In the late 90s, the company transferred to a more modern and equipped yard in San Giovanni in Croce, closer to their roots yet taking advantage of improved infrastructure and resources.

Today, Rio Yachts continues its operations from the same location in San Giovanni in Croce, Italy, leaving a distinctive mark in the boating industry with their design philosophy and impeccable Italian artisanship. As they celebrate over six decades in the business, the boat manufacturer is known for its legendary yachts characterised by luxury, comfort, and technological innovation. While they continue to offer elegant and sophisticated models, they never fail to adapt to the changing requirements of the market by introducing more contemporary and trendsetting designs.
