HIGHLIGHTS

Originally built in 1984, this boat underwent a comprehensive rebuild in 1996–1997 with new cherry wood interior, overhauled engine, upgraded insulation, and metallization of the hull.

The boat offers plenty of space onboard with three salons providing a total of 17 seating spots, four cabins (each with a sink), totaling nine berths, two bathrooms, and two showers.

Powered by a robust 6-cylinder DAF diesel engine (replacement installed 1996) and equipped with a bow thruster, this yacht also features an impressive 200 sqm sail plan: mainsail, self-tacking jib, roller furling genoa, staysail, and mizzen.

With only three owners since new and previously used for charter, she is exceptionally well equipped for extended cruising. Key features include a generator, central heating with waterborne radiators, a wood-burning stove, washing machine, dishwasher, and much more.

Two steering positions – mechanical steering outside, hydraulic inside. The navigation equipment includes autopilot, two chartplotters, AIS, radar, and VHF.

Safety is well taken care of, including three watertight bulkheads, two liferafts (12 persons each), and a ladder to the water from the stern.

SEAWORTHINESS & HANDLING

The Helleman Holland Clipper is a heavy and robust steel cruiser with a classic long keel and ketch rig, designed for safe and comfortable sailing over long distances and in challenging conditions.

The sail plan is divided between several smaller sails, making the boat easy to handle with a reduced crew. This setup also offers flexibility in varying wind conditions and good balance under sail. Hydraulic steering inside and mechanical steering outside provide excellent control in all situations.

The deep hull and robust construction offer high stability, even under heavy loads. The boat is capable of carrying enough equipment and provisions for extended voyages without sacrificing its seaworthiness. Its robust steel construction with a long keel allows it to be safely beached at low tide without damage.

ENGINE

6-cylinder DAF Diesel (replacement engine 1996). 170 hp/156 KW. Consumption at 1200 RPM / 8 knots is 6-8 liters per hour.

Bow thruster for easier maneuvering in tight harbors.

The boat does not have a traditional intake and through-hull fittings but instead uses a cooling system with internal tanks mounted to the hull. This makes it perfect for boats that need to be beached, used in shallow waters, or operate with high reliability over long periods.

4200 hours. Regular oil and filter changes.
