History of Feadship Shipyards

Founded in 1949, the grand Dutch company, Feadship Shipyards, is the result of a fruitful collaboration. The first letters of the three pioneering companies – De Vries, Van Lent and Royal Van Lent Shipyard – crafted the name of Feadship. Recognised globally for their superior craftsmanship and lavish designs, these shipyards converged their expertise to produce state-of-the-art, custom-built motor yachts, leaving a distinctive impression on the international boating industry. The company operates from multiple locations in the Netherlands. Their primary shipyard in Aalsmeer focuses on the construction of yachts up to 90 metres, while the facility in Makkum caters for yachts over 90 metres. Feadship also established a design and engineering centre, Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, in Haarlem. The most recent addition is the Amsterdam facility. This colossal construction yard, opened in 2019, focuses on the construction of the biggest superyachts, and has increased the constructible length up to 160 metres.Today, Feadship Shipyards stands as an unrivalled entity in the world of yacht production. With a reputation for excellence in design, innovation, and construction, Feadship continues to expand its horizons while preserving the valued traditions of Dutch shipbuilding. Each Feadship yacht is unique, intricately designed to match the lifestyle, needs, and visions of its owner, showcasing world-class engineering and phenomenal attention to detail that solidifies their position in the upper echelons of luxury yacht manufacturers.
