The Doral Monticello 250 SE is a well-equipped and spacious day cruiser that combines generous spaces with smart functionality - a model that is well suited for weekend getaways as well as for shorter vacations on board.
With a classic silhouette, sweeping lines and an efficient layout, the Doral Monticello 250 gives a well-thought-out impression, where the bathing platform (which was included in the ‘extended package’) creates extra space for swimming, playing and relaxing through a smart solution where the sofa group can be extended, by sliding it aft, which then provides about a foot of extra space in the cockpit - a smart solution that is surprising that it is not found on more significantly newer boats.
The table in the cockpit can also be folded down with a cushion, making it an extra sunbed or sleeping place if needed, and above the head there is a targa arch that holds the canopy in place and has built-in lighting for increased comfort on board even in the evening.
The interior of the Monticello 250 is pleasant and tasteful, in the forepeak the table can be folded down to a bed for two and in the pull-out berth even the tall ones lie comfortably.
The toilet is pleasant with wooden details and mirrors and also has a 220 socket. There is also a small hanging wardrobe close by.
Opposite is the galley, which consists of a hob, a hob, a refrigerator, a microwave and a storage cupboard above - all surrounded by high-gloss wood.
Propulsion is provided by a powerful Mercruiser 5.7 OSI with 280 horsepower - a proven and reliable gasoline engine that provides a cruising speed of around 24 knots and a top speed of up to around 33 knots.
Notably, the drive is made of Kevlar-reinforced composite - a factory adaptation to cope with the tougher Canadian waters where the boat is made and provides a bit of a quality indicator of the boat as a whole.
This specimen has been well taken care of by its only (!) owner since it was delivered new in 2007 - and was equipped with most of the factory-fitted options, which have also been further supplemented since then - and which increase both the comfort and function on board.
