History of Coronet Boats

Coronet is a vintage luxury yacht manufacturer with an esteemed reputation for strength, durability, and style. The company had a notable beginning in the city of Botveit, Norway in 1951. The brand was a project initiated by two brothers, Asbjørn and Svein Selvik who aimed to manufacture sturdy, high-quality boats with excellent seafaring capabilities. These Scandinavian vessels initially gained fame for their teak construction and superior navigational abilities.

In the subsequent years, following the success of its initial launches, Coronet stepped into the production of pleasure boats and yachts. These watercrafts, designed with Norwegian craftsmanship and international styles, shot the company to substantial fame in the boating industry. Coronet's commitment to quality and design pushed them to the forefront of the industry, dominating the European and American markets for many years.

In the 1990s, Coronet was bought by the American Brunswick Corporation. This acquisition led to a change in the company's operations and location, ultimately resulting in the relocation of Coronet's factories to the United States. Today, the Coronet brand operates under the Brunswick Boat Group, one of the world’s largest boat manufacturers. Even though the company has changed hands and relocated, Coronet continues to produce high-quality, luxury yachts demonstrating its traditional traits of strength, durability, and style.
