Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC and is Category A – “Ocean”.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

  • White hull with platinum grey cove stripe and two waterline stripes.
  • Surface layer on hull of NGA gelcoat.
  • Hull treated under waterline with epoxy primer (at build) and antifouling paint. Antifouling last done spring 2022.
  • Hull built in a sandwich construction by vacuum infused multi axial glass fibre reinforced epoxy.
  • Hull reinforced with longitudinal and transverse floor plate construction supporting keel fittings, mast engine frame, tanks and cabin soles.
  • Additional longitudinal reinforcements in the hull as stringers.
  • All reinforcements glued and laminated to the hull.
  • All main bulkheads and vertical chain plate fittings laminated on both sides to the hull and stringer system.
  • Deck and coach roof built in sandwich construction with multi-axial glass fibre reinforced epoxy and divinycell core material. Vacuum infused.
  • Hull and deck bolted and glued together.
  • Strengthened glass fibre laminate beneath stress areas.
  • Solid teak capping fitted with a stainless steel rain on the outside.
  • Solid teak laid on deck, coach roof, swim platform and in cockpit area.

 

Keel & Rudder:

  • Cast iron keel with delta formed lead bulb bolted on with acid resistant stainless steel bolts.
  • Balanced spade rudder of glass fibre reinforced epoxy with acid resistant solid stainless steel rudderpost.
