The clean and well-maintained Yanmar 3GM30F fresh-water cooled 24hp diesel engine has 1,555 hours and is conveniently located under the companionway stairs with side access panels.
Accommodations
Step below through the companionway custom teak and Plexi double doors and down 3 teak steps and you will immediately realize that boat is a step above your typical Hunter fit and finish. This 1989 Hunter 35.5 Legend has many custom features, including leather upholstery, color coordinated with custom blinds and curtains, tastefully decorated and furnished. The varnished teak cabinetry and varnished teak & holley sole is in Bristol condition, reflecting the love and care this yacht has received from its current owners.
Under the top step of the companionway which doubles as the engine cover, is a custom varnished removable tool tray, under which is an open storage bin for additional tools or spare parts. The teak ladder is removable and provides excellent access to the front of the clean and well-maintained Yanmar diesel engine. Additional side access panels provide excellent engine access wherever needed. At the bottom of the stairs is a perforated floorboard panel with a contained area of clean bilge, ideally positioned to catch dirt and rain water from dripping rain gear as you enter the Salon.
To Port, is the L-shaped Galley, with stove, oven, microwave, top-loading dual section 12V refrigerator/freezer, double SS sinks, and ample storage above and below the countertops. Additional refrigeration is provided by a 110V Front-opening refrigerator conveniently located behind the door of the Guest Stateroom, aft of the Galley. This private stateroom, with a solid teak arched door, has standing headroom inside the entrance, an athwartship double berth, and opening ports providing plenty of natural ventilation when the A/C is not needed.
To Starboard aft, is the large Head with a solid teak arched door. Aft is the toilet, vanity and sink with mirror-faced storage above and additional storage under the countertop. Forward is a separate shower area with a drain sump-pump, shower curtain, and built in soap and accessory holders. There is one opening port and a deck hatch to provide ventilation when A/C is not needed.
Forward of the Head is the aft-facing Nav Table with chart table and hinged storage under. Above on the outboard wall is the AC-DC Electrical Panel, engine hourmeter, VHV radio, and stereo radio. There are four stereo speakers.
To Port, forward of the Galley is a U-Shaped Dinette with a high-low folding leaf teak table on centerline in the Salon, with an additional L-Shaped single-berth size Settee to Starboard with a solar vented deck hatch. The Port Settee converts to a double berth with the table lowered. Settee upholstery is custom burgundy leather with color-coordinated designer mini blinds and curtains. Outboard and above each settee are sliding door storage compartments with open shelving above with lips to hold items in place when underway. There are a total of 5 opening ports in the Salon/Galley area.
Forward of the salon is another arched solid teak door creating a private V-Berth with a solar-vented deck hatch, shelves along the hullsides, and a storage cabinet that also contains the A/C system with a shelf above.
Galley

Engine
This 1989 Hunter 35.5 Legend Sloop is powered by a 24hp Yanmar 3-cylinder Diesel 3GM30F, fresh-water cooled. It is equipped with a Racor fuel filter and the Yanmar control panel is conveniently located on the starboard side of the cockpit next to the helm with Tachometer, oil pressure and temperature alarms built in. The previous owner had valves adjusted at 630 hours, and routine annual preventive maintenance has been performed as per manufacturer's recommendations.
