About this LM 30

English

The LM30 is a high quality pilot house yacht that is just perfect for anyone looking for a craft that sails well,

whilst staying out of the elements. The LM30 was designed to be easy to handle for a minimal crew, with all

lines lead aft to the cockpit and in mast furling for easy reefing.

The LM 30 is a very pretty craft that offers sleeping accommodation for up to six people; there is an abundance

of storage, both internal and external, to make extended cruising a practical option.

This smart example was built in 1985 and offers an extensive inventory that includes dinghy, radar and a full

suite of navigation instruments and aids.

Owner's Comments

I bought "Venetia" in 2004 and chose the LM30 as I was looking for a pilothouse yacht that would actually sail; rather than an out and out motorsailer. I have kept her in Poole throughout that time.

"Venetia" has looked after me admirably and never let me down - though I have made sure to keep her and the engine well maintained. I plot for a speed of 5 knots and always strive to turn the engine off once I leave port, until I reach my destination.

The boat has taken me from Brighton to the Isles of Scilly, and on the south side of the English Channel, to the Channel Islands and the North Coast of France from Honfleur to the east and Roscoff to the west.

"Venetia" is superbly set up for short or even single handed sailing. I’ve made several Channel crossings and

countless shorter trips (Portland or Solent) single handed with her.

I have made the decision to sell "Venetia" as she has fulfilled all the ambitions I had for her. My boating is going to transition towards other aspects of on the water life at Parkstone Yacht Club.
