RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”


Hull Construction:

  • The hull produced by vacuum assisted infusion, with the outer skin from Vinylester and remaining laminate in iso-polyester.
  • Sandwich laminate made of 20mm PVC core is used throughout the hull.
  • Reinforcement from a mix between woven and uni-directional roving.
  • Solid laminate in the keel area as well as around major through hull fittings.
  • Moulded hull stiffening and integrated inner-liner grid.
  • The grid is laminated to the hull in the keel area
  • Structural bulkheads hand laminated and bolted to hull and grid.
  • White topcoat on the hull in all lockers, bilges and similar exposed areas.
  • Coppercoat to undersides (applied in 2018).


Deck & Superstructure Construction:

  • The deck is produced by vacuum assisted infusion with integrated anti-slip surfaces.
  • Deck is glued and screwed to the hull.
  • White gelcoat finish on coach roof top with moulded non-slip texture.
  • Laid teak deck to finish side decks and foredeck.
  • Teak toe rail running length of deck edge.
  • Laid teak decking panels to finish cockpit sole and seating.
  • Glove boxes in the cockpit with teak frame.


Keel & Rudder:

  • 2.25m draft with iron cast fin bolted to a lead bulb (cast iron keel has been sandblasted and ground back and coated with Jotun Megacote epoxy primer, filled and faired in 2018).
  • Keel is bolted with AISI 316 L stainless steel bolts. Keel washers in stainless steel.
  • Balanced spade rudder.
  • Rudder blade produced by vacuum assisted infusion. Reinforcement from bi-axial and uni-directional roving.
  • Stainless steel rudderstock and reinforcing structure, laminated to one-half of the rudder before assembly.
  • Acetal needle bearing top and bottom.
  • Lewmar Cobra rack and pinion steering by a combination between rod and chain.


Engine & Gearboxes:

  • Volvo Penta D2-40 (injectors serviced 2017, new cooling water thermostat 2017).
  • Producing 40 HP @ 3000rpm.
  • 4 cylinders, naturally aspirated, indirectly cooled diesel engine.
  • Volvo Penta 130S sail drive (sail drive leg replaced 2018 together with sail drive rubber gasket ring seal).
  • Freshwater engine cooling using raw water inlet and heat exchanger (replaced 2016).
