The Macwester Rowan Crown 24 is a triple keel ketch with shallow draft ideal for exploring the East coast, with a deep, safe cockpit and solid build. Below decks they offer impressive accommodation for their size, ideal for extended cruising. Aquilio II has been fitted out to a good standard with some good upgrades including twin-cylinder Vetus engine, Sprayhood, 240v shore power and more.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers four berths in two cabins. V berth forward with infill. Separate heads compartment to starboard with Jabsco marine toilet and washbasin. Galley with two burner gas cooker with grill (requires connecting). Sink with draining board. Manually pumped freshwater system. Two quarter berths.

Mechanical Systems

Located under the cockpit, Vetus twin cylinder 11hp diesel engine (new 2007). electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to fixed pitch three-bladed propeller. Single lever control. 

The engine has proven reliable under current ownership and appears in very good cosmetic condition. 

Sails & Spars

Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging.  Furlex headsail furling system. Two sheet winches. Halyard winch.

Macwester Rowan Crown built in circa 1980 by Macwester Marine to a design by CSJ Roy. Cream GRP hull with rubbing strake and toe rail. Cream GRP superstructure with Treadmaster non-slip to decks. Tripple keels. Skeg hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit. 

Electrical Systems

2 x 12v batteries charged via engine alternator. Shorepower system with ring mains. Electrical distribution panel. Full cabin lighting.
