About this Grand Banks 42

English

The Grand Banks 42 has timeless lines and a strong reputation, a boat designed for people who wish to enjoy cruising in comfort and style. Built in 1998, 'Lazaway' is powered by Twin Caterpillar 3116 350hp engines on shaft drives. The boat favours a very spacious interior saloon and galley, and externally a large flybridge and aft deck. The private Owners double cabin aft is separated from the two twin guests cabins forward. The specification includes circa £30K of recently installed Raymarine electronics, bow & stern thrusters, generator, air-conditioning, davits, tender and much more. Having been with the same family for the last 18 years, it's important to them that 'Lazaway' finds a good home!

Broker comments

In production from 1966 to 2005, with over 1,550 hulls built, the Grand Banks 42 remains the most successful trawler design ever produced. The 42 is a model often copied, but never duplicated. It is a magnificent example of how Grand Banks Yachts has blended thoughtful design, safe passage making, comfortable living and exquisite craftsmanship.

"The Grand Banks 42 Motoryacht is a boat designed for people who wish to enjoy cruising. The semi-displacement hull of every Grand Banks offers the best of both worlds, economical and comfortable cruising around 9 knots, with the ability to achieve higher speed. According to the brochure the demands of many different cruising experiences, as well as the wide experiences of so many Owners has enabled Grand Banks to earn a reputation for being the choice of those who truly understand what it takes to go cruising. It’s all about economy, comfort and cruising in style. And that is an understatement when people start talking about the Grand Banks 42 Motoryacht.'' - Yacht and Boat 2004 - https://www.yachtandboat.com/grand-banks-42-review/
