About this MARLOW Explorer 61E

Broker's Comments

EPHYRA is a beautifully maintained and upgraded 61 E, perfect for an owner operator or adding an occasional crewmember.

This is one of the only Explorer 61s with Side Power bow and stern thrusters, Naiad stabilizers, Garmin 7000 series electronics and a hardtop-equipped flybridge.

In Explorer tradition, long range cruising is available. Cruising range exceeds 2,000 miles at a LRC speed, when the need arises a motor yacht pace of 15 knots is achievable. The 61 E provides the best of both worlds in trawler and motor-yachting voyaging.

Owner's Comments

EPHYRA was acquired and refit to accommodate an owner/operator with the goal of long-range cruising and extended periods of time aboard. The boat has cruised extensively from the Canadian border to the FL Keys and has cruised the Bahamas. From bow to stern, the equipment has been upgraded to provide reliable, safe passage making and cruising. Upgraded ground tackle, increased refrigeration and freezer capacity, second generator, new tender and outboard and upgraded communications systems is just a partial list of numerous improvements. All mechanical systems have been subject to close inspection and continual maintenance. Deferred maintenance is not a term to be applied with EPHYRA. She has been professionally maintained to the highest standards.

With her increased refrigeration and watermaker, up to 6 people can comfortably cruise for long periods of time; yet, with bow and stern thrusters and a remote docking controller, 2 people can easily handle the boat. If someone wants to get away from it all and still stay in touch, then EPHYRA is a great solution.
