About this Kok 1285 Motorgrundel

Musia is a charming example of this popular size and style of Dutch steel motorcruiser constructed to an excellent standard by a highly regarded yard. Although ideal for exploring rivers and waterways, she was also built with a more seagoing underwater profile than usual and internal helm position for her first owner to cruise long distances and explore the Mediterranean. Her layout has also been updated to offer more comfortable liveaboard accommodation for two, with a comfortable owners cabin aft, upgraded, deeper seating, large galley and utility area forward, and generous amounts of storage space. The current owner has spent a lot of time updating her systems including total electrical rewire, new warm air heating, autopilot to the upper help and new touch screen plotter.

Please note images were taken in 2019 when the current owner purchased her.

Viewing by prior appointment only through our Essex office on (01621) 785600.

'Musia' is fitted out in a traditional style to a high standard and her flexible layout offers up to six comfortable berths combined with superb space and storage for liveaboard cruising.

All equipment can be powered by shorepower or generator to allow cooking whilst passage making without the safety concerns of gas. Steps lead up to wheelhouse saloon.

WHEELHOUSE SALOON - The raised saloon has excellent natural light and ventilation creating a very comfortable area to relax or entertain in. Settees to port and starboard with storage beneath and offering two comfortable single berths. Free standing table with built in storage beneath. Concealed boat safe for valuables. High quality interior cabinetry with blue cotton upholstery (new 2014) and complimenting curtains throughout.

EXTERNAL SPACE: The raised aft cockpit has a simple helm position off centre to port and a large open aft deck with removable bimini top offering excellent space for alfresco dining and entertaining. Wide side decks with good steps, high guard rails with side gates and excellent safe level surfaces make deck work safe and easily manageable. Kok 1250 Motorgrundel designed by Th.J.Kok and built in 1978 by Kok/Achterbos of Vinkeveen in the Netherlands, first commissioned 1980. Dual station hydraulic wheel steering. Minimum air draft 2.31m (7'6") with the masts and screen folded down.
