"Indigo" Sweden Yachts 390, 1991. A quality Swedish built boat with lovely lines and 7 berths including 3 separate doubles. Fitted out in quality Mahogany finish. Ideal for a family although set up to be easily handled short handed.  New Beta 38hp engine installed 2014.

Hull, Deck and Keel

  • Designed by Peter Norlin & Jens Ostmann
  • Built by Sweden Yachts.
  • Hull - GRP sandwich construction using end grain balsa core from deck edge to below the waterline and solid laminate layup in structural areas. Solid longitudinal and transverse beams are used to reinforce the hull.
  • Main bulkheads are all bonded to the deck and hull.
  • Deck - GRP sandwich construction using end grain balsa core. High load areas utilise constructional Ply inserts and backing plates.
  • Deck and cockpit laid in Teak.
  • Cored hulls and decks have a great strength to weight ratio and greater insulation than single layups. No more condensation issues.
  • Wing fin keel with lead ballast externally bolted with stainless steel bolts and nuts. Bolts and nuts were replaced 2017.
  • Balanced GRP spade rudder. Bearings replaced 2017.
  • Antifouling removed back to gelcoat, primed and re-applied 2017.   
  • Boat stored ashore each winter and has been out of the water for most of the last 12months.

Deck Equipment

The deck is low profile giving great vision forwards with wide side decks and a large secure cockpit.  The bridge deck has a station for a liferaft and the cockpit has good sized aft lazarette lockers which also house the gas bottle.

  • Wheel steering on a Edeson central pedestal with binnacle compass and grab bar with mounted instrumentation.
  • Chain and wire steering connected to a hydraulic autopilot ram.
  • Ergonomic cockpit with main control lines lead aft through rope clutches. 
  • Single bow roller.
  • Deck mounted Lewmar electric anchor windlass controlled via wired remote.
  • Kobra anchor with 60m chain.
  • 7 x indigo-blue sleeved fenders.
  • Mooring warps.
  • Boathook.

WINCHES

  • 2 x Lewmar 56 electric 2-speed self tailing primary winches for the Genoa. 
  • 2 x Lewmar 40 2-speed self tailing manual winches for the Mainsheet. German mainsheet system for easy direct control. 
  • 2 x Lewmar 46 2-speed self tailing secondary winches for the spinnaker/checkstays. 
  • 2 x Lewmar 43 2-speed self tailing halyard winches.  
  • 1 x Lewmar 43 2-speed self tailing mast mounted winch.

Interior and Accommodation

Laid out with 3 double berths in 3 cabins and a single in the saloon. The forward heads is a good sized which is accessed via the forward cabin and saloon.

  • Beautifully fitted out in Mahogany with satin varnish.
  • Cream vinyl head linings with Mahogany battening. 
  • Cream painted battening on visible hull sides.
  • Blue cord style upholstery.

HEATING

  • Eberspacher diesel fired warm air central heating with control unit which can be set up with a daily routine.

FORWARD CABIN

  • Full width 'V' berth. 
  • Double hanging locker with full length hanging to one side and basket storage on the other.  
  • Single locker with shelves and drawers. 
  • Shelves outboard above berth on the hull sides. 
  • Large sail storage area beneath berth, easily accessed via hinged bunk top.

HEADS

  • A good sized heads to starboard forward.
  • En-suite access from the forward cabin and access from the saloon.
  • Sink with pressurised hot and cold water via a mixer tap which extends to function as a shower.
  • Manual Raritan marine flushing toilet with holding tank. Overhauled with Raritan OEM parts 2016.
  • Corian toilet seat cover for seated showering and to keep the toilet dry.
  • Corian floor grate.
  • Locker with mirrored front for vanity items.

SALOON

The saloon is particularly comfortable with a lovely cosy feel being surrounded by rich timber.

  • 'U' shaped seating to starboard and settee to port.
  • Large central table with folding leaves giving full width dinning. Internal storage.
  • Cupboards outboard with central shelves on both sides.

GALLEY

  • 'L' shaped, secure galley to starboard aft with Corian work surface. 
  • Large top loading cold storage with new cooling plate 2014 and cold stone compressor. 
  • Eno stainless steel gimbaled 2-burner stove with oven. The oven has a folding Corian cover to extend the work surface area when not in use. 
  • Twin stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water system. 
  • Manual fresh water system operated via foot pump.  
  • Manual sea water system operated via foot pump. 
  •  Plenty of storage for galley equipment, utensils and provisions.

NAVIGATION STATION

  • To port opposite the galley. 
  • Large chart table with navigators seat. 
  • Ships electrical distribution panel and instrumentation.

AFT CABINS

PORT AFT CABIN

  • The berth is a half width wider than the starboard cabin and this cabin has a seat too.
  • Full hanging locker and cupboard storage outboard.
  • Shelf above engine casing.
