TWIN YANMAR 480HP DIESEL ENIGNES

Upgraded 2 x Yanmar 480Hp diesel engines are independently installed with their own water-injected exhaust system, starter battery, electrics and plumbing.

Cruising speed approximately 22 knots. Both engines have sound deadening lead filled jackets.

Approximately 900 hours at August 2020.

Hamilton 292 jet units are driven through ZF reduction gearboxes and lay shafts. Jets antifouled.

Pair of electrically operated trim tabs fitted with controls at the helm station.

ELECTRICS

Upgraded Mastervolt Whisper diesel generator with acoustic sound shield, remote controls and monitoring to power battery charger, ring main and electric hob when dockside power is not available. No hours available but quite low.

Diesel fired circulating hot water central heating system with outlets in saloon, forward cabin and heads, plus heated towel rail.

Cruisair 16,000 BTU reverse cycle air conditioning unit provides cooling/heating to the saloon.

Additional 7,000BTU Stowaway air conditioning 110V SXF7C in forward cabin.

Both air conditioning units have been disconnected. No warranty given that aircon will work after just reconnecting..

Central heating in commission.

TANKAGE

Fuel - 1660 litres in 2 tanks

Fuel supplied form two baffled aluminium tanks installed under each side deck each dedicated to one engine.

A balance pipe system is installed to facilitate with interconnection of tanks, if required.

Electronic fuel gauges are fitted and displayed at helm position and two Racor fuel filters/water separators are fitted with alarms at the helm station.

Black water holding tank with contents gauge, sea discharge and deck pump out facility.

WATER SYSTEM

A stainless steel freshwater tank of 340 litres (75 Imperial gallons/90 US gallons) supplies a hot and cold pressurised system to galley, head and deck shower. Water is heated from engine cooling system and AC immersion heater.

Galley sink drains through own outlet via electric pump.

Automatic discharge pump for shower and head washbasin.

CONSTRUCTION

Incorporates a high tech, weight saving, composite structure using vinylester resin and a combination of e-glass, Kevlar and carbon fibre for ultimate strength.

The hull is solid laminate below the waterline.

Gelcoat colour is ‘dark blue’ with a ‘silver’ cove line and single ‘white’ boot top line. Undersides are epoxied and finished in 2015 with a 10 year ‘Coppercoat’ with boat ashore and waterjets antifouled July 2020.

DECK

Topsides and deck are cored with high-density foam or balsa for strength and insulation.

Side decks, forward coach roof and cockpit seat tops incorporate a moulded non-slip pattern.

The foredeck area has a flush locker housing the anchor and chain.

Partition in bow locker.

A fold out stemhead roller is housed flush within the anchor locker when not in use.

Stainless steel pulpit and anchor roller extension.

Foredeck and cabin roof wooden grab rails replaced with stainless steel.

Varnished Teak toe rail fitted around the deck edge.

The cockpit sole and stern platform are trimmed with laid teak planking and the sole incorporates a lazarette locker at the aft end for equipment storage and also gives access to the jet drives and steering gear.
