About this Jarvis Newman

English

Queequeg is a Jarvis Newman fiberglass Pemaquid Friendship Sloop finished by the Tom Morris yard. Her deck assembly is one-piece molded fiberglass.  Queequeg has varnished teak overlay on the cockpit seats and bridge deck, as well as teak coaming cap and toe and hand rails. The cabin layout is unique with an enclosed head forward followed by the main cabin aft. Her graceful sheer, three traditional sails (new main sail), gaff rig, and bright spars call attention to her classic lines which brings the beauty of the past to the present. These boats were originally designed for stability to work in all weather conditions, so they make terrific family boats.
