About this Hunter 44 DS

This is a sail boat maintained to the highest of levels (Records available to qualified buyers)Atalanta is ready to go for that extended vacation and or retirement dream trip.

Per "Yacht and Boat" review:

The Hunter 44 Deck Salon is a big-volume hull with a higher coach roof profile than its sister (the Aft Cockpit Cruising Version). It has a fin keel (shallow draft is an option) and features the deck-stepped B&R rig, with swept-back spreaders and plenty of diagonal support. The shrouds are fastened to the hull sides, while the lower shrouds and the struts supporting the goose neck area meet at the deck and connect to struts below decks which in turn feed loads into the hull. A band of fiberglass reinforcement spans the hull, from gunwale to gunwale, picking up the chain plates, keel and mast step area.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The Hunter 44 Deck Salon is an innovative cruiser with a performance orientated hull drawn by noted designer and racer, Glenn Henderson, Hunter's Chief Designer. Following on the heels of the tremendously successful Hunter 356, the 44 shares the same sailing attributes. Like the 356, the 44 carries the beam well aft, but the additional beam does not hinder performance or sea keeping ability, it actually enhances it. Wide windows and ports offer a real panorama and the creative layout allows for two full staterooms with two full heads with separate stall showers. Continuing to innovate and go more upscale, this Hunter will offer special amenities such as flat-screen television and Bose? Audio systems as standard. Galley appliances are stainless steel and surrounded by genuine Corian counter tops. Innerspring mattresses are standard in both spacious staterooms and there is even a special desk/office area in the master.
