English
Fast, fun and a superb entry level catamaran for cruising or the RORC/ MOCRA race scene. The 1095 features include a super lightweight and taller rig for increased speed. Carbon daggerboards and kick-up rudders for easy beaching. Comfort and ease of use combined with the classic Dazcat strength and performance are the main design features of this little beauty.
Accomodation
Below deck our classic Dazcat layout is evident, with a few changes from the D995: There is standing head room in the hulls and the central nacelle and the saloon seating are part of the wet deck moulding.
Aft, there are twin double cabins with berths, seat and storage lockers. The galley, with sink and hob, lies in the centre of the hull. The navigation station sits opposite the galley and has a table and instrument panel positioned in the hulls, facing the saloon. Lockers have been replaced with a gag system to reduce weight.
Forward in the starboard hull is a child’s cabin, with bunk bed. On the port side is the head with shower sump fitted
In the saloon the table drops to create a day berth / extra double bed.
We aim to reduce weight wherever possible and with this in mind, we are not planning on a full pressurized hot water system as standard. Hot running water will be an option, as will refrigeration and electrical shore support and system.
Sails and Rig
A square-top main, self-tacking jib and lines running back to the cockpit, make for safe and easy single-handed sailing.
In the full width cockpit, built in twin seating benches provide comfort and give easy access to winch stations controlling the mainsheet traveller and downwind sails. On the coach roof there is a pair of winches to control the jib sheets and all halyards including main, jib, spinnaker, and reef lines. We have lowered the cockpit canopy to provide a clear view from the helm.
