The Southerly 100 built by Northshore Yachts to a Dick Carter design proved very popular when first launched in 1983 until production ceased in 2003, during which time 93 were built.
The design included the unique Trade Mark ‘Swing Keel’ The idea of a shallow draft yacht that allowed the owners to reach those remote and secluded anchorages whilst at the same time with the keel in the ‘Down Position’ the Southerly 100 becomes a very capable offshore passage maker.
Bosco is in her third ownership, and it is evident that the previous and the current owners have maintained her in excellent condition. She is well equipped and in ‘Sail Away’ condition.
Just provisions, a bit of diesel and personal gear and the horizon is yours for the more adventurous or with Swing Keel up a secluded anchorage may be your preference.
In summary Bosco is a well-found yacht of impeccable pedigree
The Southerly 100 has what they would call these days a ‘Deck Saloon’ or ‘Pilot House’. In this case it is the latter which has a spacious galley, an inside steering position with engine control, a Chart Table and access to both a generous quarter berth to port and heads to starboard.
The main saloon is, for a yacht a little over 10 metres, much larger than one would expect and makes an excellent social space whilst at anchor or in harbour. To create this space the builders have in the forward cabin fitted 2 single upper and lower cross berths

The raised galley to port provides great visibility with plenty of working space. There is a 2 burner gas stove with grill and oven, a double sink, fridge and ample storage space. Also in this raised area is access to the heads to starboard, with Jabsco marine toilet, sink, shower and sump pump out, and also the well equipped Navigation Station
Step down to the spacious saloon with generous seating around a table which has had a custom made removable leaf made to maximise dining area but provide ample space when not in use. The saloon converts to provide one double and one single berth and there is a quarter berth aft of the galley, with it's own porthole to the cockpit.
The fore cabin has 2 single upper and lower cross berths
