The Hunter Channel 31 in twin keel format boat is a Category A sailing cruiser giving responsive, fast passage making and the ability to dry out and explore shallow areas. She is easy to sail with her single line reefing led aft to the cockpit, a stack pack mainsail system and a self tacking headsail.

Kusi Y offers spacious accommodation in a 31 foot boat with comfortable berths, generous stowage, good sized heads with shower facility and roomy well designed saloon.

Hull, Deck & Keel

• Single skin grp hull reinforced in the way of the keel and rig stresses.
• Hulls are a solid laminate, laid up by hand and stiffened by formers creating frames, stringers and robust floors.
• Bulkheads are laminated in place along with the primary furniture modules creating a strong egg box type construction.
• The deck is bonded to the hull to create a very strong monocoque. 
• The deck is a a solid laminate padded out with core-mat and reinforced deck beams.
• The heads unit, engine tray and galley are built on one internal moulding glassed to the hull, thus restricting drips, dirt and water to easy wipe clean areas. 
• Cast iron twin keels set with a 3 degree toe in to maximise windward ability, flared at the bottom to increase stability. 
• Semi balanced spade rudder using a unique monocoque construction on a stainless steel rudder stock
