Since its establishment in 1827 by John Moody, Moody Yachts has been a prominent figure in the shipbuilding industry. Initially, the company focused on repairing fishing boats, and it was not until 1935 that they ventured into sailing yacht production. For over seven decades, Moody Yachts produced countless iconic designs on the scenic south coast of the UK. However, in 2006, the original owners decided to stop production.
Fortunately, in 2007, the Hanse Yachts Group stepped in and revived the Moody name, taking over manufacturing from their facility in Greifswald, Germany. Although the modern Moody Yachts may differ significantly from the first model crafted in 1935, they continue to push the boundaries of yacht design. The company seamlessly blends classic and contemporary elements, offering customers the best combination of tradition and innovation.
With a long and storied history spanning almost two centuries, Moody Yachts remains at the forefront of the sailing industry, constantly striving to provide sailors with top-quality vessels that embody the spirit of adventure and elegance.
