About this Fisher Fisher 30

Remarks :

The Fisher 30 was born from a design by naval architects David Freeman and Gordon Wyatt who were "seeking a motor sailor that could perform well both under sail or motor". their design produced what was called the Freeward 30 which they tried to market to established boat builders to convince them to take it on as a brand.
This met with little success and a chance meeting with an equally frustrated David Skelton, a gentleman who wanted to become a yacht distributor, they decided to launch and market the brand themselves. Listening to their customers and tweaking the design led to the birth of the Fisher range with their distinct wheelhouse offering excellent visibility and a double ended hull form which is both sea kindly and efficient.
This model is believed to have been built in 1975. She is ketch rigged with in-mast furling main and mizzen and a roller furling genoa. The engine is a three-cylinder Volvo Penta MD3 diesel which has been well maintained by current and previous owners. Accommodation for five persons, decent sized galley, heads with sea toilet and excellent storage. Recent rewire and switch panel. Cabin heating to prolong the season.

Accommodation :

The wheelhouse is entered via the cockpit. This area has full standing headroom and great visibility all around. There is a perspex panel in the wheelhouse roof to allow helm to view the sails and let in lots of natural light. The wheelhouse has a fold-down helm sea and a bench seat to starboard.
Three steps down from the wheelhouse, and you are in the saloon. The interior hull is lined either with carpet or vinyl to a high standard. The woodwork and cabinet work is in excellent condition, and all upholstery is well padded and covered in attractive blue fabric. There is an L-Shaped seating/dining area to port with removable table. This area will convert to a decent sized double berth. Opposite is the galley area with work surfaces, stainless steel sink, Oven with hob and grill and cool box behind.
Aft of galley on the starboard side is a spacious quarter berth. Above this is a pullout chart table with reading light.
Between the saloon and the forward cabin is the heads compartment to port with sea toilet and pull out sink unit. Opposite heads are storage cupboard with double louvred doors.
In the bow is the forward cabin with V-shaped berth with storage below. Each cabin fitted with 12V lighting.
Boat benefits from Eberspacher diesel heating.
