About this Sabre 362

"With her classic good looks, the Sabre 362 is certainly what's called a "proper yacht" ~

Chris Caswell commentary in

Sail Magazine

Following her debut, the Sabre 362 is already making waves.  It is not difficult to see why.  Visually the Sabre 362 is appealingly sleek with balanced ends, wide side decks, a low profile cabin and an athletic lanky double spreader rig.  Performance-wise it is quick and easy to handle and responsive in a wide range of wind conditions..

Always a New England boat and stored inside by her prior two owners and in inside heated storage by her current owner, the stunning Sabre 362 has been nicely upgraded.  Just five years ago under prior ownership she got all new canvas and injectors rebuilt but most recently three years ago, the current owner had her bright work stripped and refinished and before last winter installed all brand new electronics!

Spring 2019 seller is having the bottom stripped and 2 coats of ablative anti fouling applied, she will be ready to go!

Accommodations

Forward Cabin offers 6'2" headroom with a 6'5" long V-berth and a seat and sink with mirror to starboard. Storage is in a cabinet and cedar-lined hanging locker aft to port, a cabinet aft to starboard, in three drawers below the berth, and along hull side fiddled shelves. An overhead opening hatch and two stainless opening cabin ports let in natural light and fresh air.

Main Salon offers 6'5" headroom with a 6'7" long L-shaped settee to starboard and a 6'3" long straight settee to port. The bulkhead-mounted salon table has a leaf that extends to accommodate both settees. It also folds up out of the way when not in use. Starboard L-settee pulls out to create a double berth. Storage is in four louvered cabinets and on fiddled shelves, as well as in cubbies behind seat backs to port and starboard. Light and air pour through an overhead opening hatch, two stainless opening cabin ports, and four fixed cabin ports.

The Navigation Station is aft facing, aft of the port settee. Large chart table is hinged and folds up to reveal storage.

A Fully Enclosed Head and Separate Shower Stall offers 6'1" headroom. Storage is behind tambour slider cabinet doors along the hull side above the sink, in a hull side cabinet in the shower stall, and below the shower seat. This area is kept well-lit and ventilated by a fixed cabin port and opening overhead hatch in the head area and an opening cabin port in the shower stall.

Aft Cabin has a bi-fold door for privacy, offers 6'1" headroom, and has a 6'5" long double berth. Storage here is in a cedar-lined hanging locker, and along a hull side shelf. Light and air flow through one opening cabin port outboard and two opening cabin ports that face the cockpit.

Galley offers 6'4" headroom and an L-shape configuration. Storage is along a hull side shelf, behind tambour slider cabinet doors, in two flip-down cabinets, one cabinet, and three drawers below the sink.

Hull & Deck

Hand laid fiberglass hull with alternating layers of mat and knitted bi axial roving with with end grain balsa coring and with vinylester resin in the exterior laminate for superior blister resistance.  The hull was Awlgripped Flag Blue in 2007.  The bottom finish is a hard epoxy green anti fouling.  The deck is single piece hand laid fiberglass with end grain balsa coring and with marine grade mahogany plywood in high stress areas with molded in beige non-skid on white gel coat.  The gel coat is in very good condition as is the Awlgrip on the topsides.  Moderate amounts of exterior varnished teak help accentuate the beauty of the Sabre 362. This includes a teak toe rail and brow which were stripped and refinished in 2016.
