About this Saffier SC 6.50 Cruise Custom

English

This listing is for a New Build Contract for delivery of a new Saffier at the first available build slot. The price shown is the price of the 650 Cruise package model.
The classic lines above the water belie the modern technology below. A modern L- shaped Bulb keel provides excellent upwind sailing with a perfect balance in the boat. With the new keel shape, we were able to put the centre of gravity much lower down and ended up with 20% less weight in the keel but an even better righting moment. The deep spade rudder gives the helmsmen the right grip on all courses, keeping the Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise on her track. The design will appeal to a broad range of people who are looking for a simple-to-sail open yacht with beautiful lines and all the comfort and performance you expect from a modern daysailer.

Modern Design above the Water

The rig with a slightly roached mainsail and a self-tacking jib provides more than enough sail area to perform, especially in lighter winds, while the self-tacking jib means gybing and tacking is as easy as it gets.

She can also be easily fitted out with a furling gennaker sail. This provides a very effective way of getting more sail area downwind or on a reach and the handling is as simple as a furling jib. Because of this rig the Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise is perfect for solo sailing and does not require an experienced crew.

With all these modern features her performance is everything you would expect of a modern design.

Large Cockpit

A key feature of the Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise is her large and ergonomic cockpit. This deep, sheltered space feels safe and secure and will seat six people to comfortably. Perfect for your family and friends who want to enjoy a good day of cruising.

The solo aspect is a very important point as well. As a helmsmen you can operate all the lines by yourself without having to ask for any help while manoeuvering. The integrated boxes to store your halyards and lines will provides a clean and uncluttered cockpit while sailing.
