History of Mirage Yachts

Mirage Manufacturing, internationally reputed for its quality production of seaworthy boats, commenced operations in 1971. Based in Gainesville, Florida, this American manufacturer initially focused on crafting sailboats, before successfully transitioning to motor yachts. Their sailboat line, popular during the 1970s and 1980s, encompassed a series of designs varying from 24 to 40 feet in length. Although relatively young in the industry at the time, Mirage quickly made a name for its innovative designs, exceptional craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

In 1992, Mirage delved into the trawler yacht industry and introduced the amazingly engineered 'Great Harbour' series, resulting from the expert synergy between naval architect Jack Sarin and founder Ken Fickett. These trawler yachts, specifically designed for extended cruising, are still in production today and represent the pinnacle of Mirage's achievements in boat manufacturing.

Today, Mirage Manufacturing continues to operate from its home base in Gainesville, carving its niche in the highly competitive boat industry through an unyielding commitment to quality and performance. Though the company no longer produces the sailboats that initially brought them recognition, it has deepened its mastery in creating world-class trawler yachts. With an unwavering dedication to continuous innovation and utilising the best of maritime design and technology, Mirage maintains its position as a leader amongst boat manufacturers.
