THE STUNNING NEW SUNSEEKER PREDATOR 130

20 August 2009

Sunseeker International will launch the brand new Predator 130 at this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show. Already acclaimed as ‘star-of-the-show’, this outstanding high performance motoryacht boasts the very latest advances in design and innovation.

The Predator 130 is the latest and largest in the Sunseeker Performance Motoryacht range and has been designed with true blue-water cruising in mind, featuring the company’s well proven hard-chine hull and trademark high deck design. The deep ‘V’ hull design offers exceptional handling and sea-keeping qualities, making this model easy to handle in all sea conditions.

The Predator 130 also has all the features expected on a luxury ocean-going vessel, such as the latest navigation and communication equipment. Built to the most stringent criteria, computerised engine management coupled with touch screen monitoring provides crew with information that is literally at their fingertips, which not only improves efficiency and safety but helps prevent malfunction. Advanced use of hydraulics, computer-controlled generators and electrical systems add to the Predator 130’s reliability.

The sleek design houses a two and a half deck layout along with an exceptionally large flybridge that provides plenty of seating and sunbathing space along with a full bar layout and spa tub. The hardtop with opening sunroof provides shelter over the flybridge helm and seating/dining areas.

Palatial in scale, the Predator 130 enjoys ultra-spacious accommodation for ten guests and ingenious layouts, allowing the crew to move freely but discretely about the boat. The full width owner’s stateroom is located forward on the main deck. Moving back through the boat there are steps to the raised wheelhouse, a large fully equipped galley, separate dining area and saloon while the large aft cockpit provides ample space for al-fresco dining and seating. The lower deck comprises two large double guest suites aft and two double cabins all with their own en-suite facilities. The crew mess and accommodation for up to seven crew is forward with separate access through the galley.

This particular Predator 130 will feature a number of special options including hydraulically opening balconies on the saloon sides and master stateroom - the first to ever be featured on a Sunseeker. One of the lower deck guest cabins has been customised as a gymnasium and the boat has been constructed with a light oak finish, highlighting the contemporary decor and interior.

More Show highlights

A further 14 Sunseeker craft will be displayed at the show, ranging from 52 feet to 130 feet. (Stand J006, Berths 401-405).

Sunseeker CEO Robert Braithwaite CBE said: “Despite a difficult world economy, Sunseeker has proved once again that innovation and a desire to design and produce the very best can still generate success. We are extremely proud to be able to launch the Predator 130 at the show this year and hope our clients and visitors enjoy the opportunity to experience first-hand the craftsmanship, style and elegance of this outstanding vessel.

Presumably this 130 is sold. What are the performance stats of the 130? Also, what is the price for a pretty well specd boat? sincerely Graham Smith

Nice looks, where can I see this boat? I could be interested in painting one on speculation as I have nothing quite like her in my portfolio or on my marine art web site (www.frickers.co.uk). Not big after the boats I saw last June on the cote d'azur, but clever, I like it goo luck to Sunseeker.

I went on this boat last week in Southampton. I was told that they have sold 5. This one is the first and will go to a buyer in Croatia. None to the Med - I think 2 to Middle East and 2 to Asia. £10.5m basic price, £11.5m for a good spec.

I have looked and looked at yachts for sale including the 130, in my honest opinion ( be it so humble )they are so over priced .Its not that the sellers want to make a profit, they want a vast profit and thats why there are so many yachts for sale and very few buyers. one word that fits. GREED

I agree with Phil, its the builders that make the vast profits. The owners just need to recouperate some of their money when selling.

For a motor boat this big it would years to pay the development cost's. Sunseeker will not see a profit on a boat like this for a few years.

To add a different slant on Phil & Kara's comments, Sunseeker have just posted their financial results for 2009 and declared a LOSS - not exactly the greedy corporation you are talking about!

If you wanna talk overpriced then look at Wally Yachts. The terrible narrow Wally 118 costs double the Sunseeker.

It's not greed it's need. If they were overpriced then someone could roll out the same thing with half the markup and make a killing. However when you are the budget luxury yacht you can't sell as easily.

I have just purchased a Sunseeker Predator 130 for a price of £17.6 million pounds and I must say it is a lovely peace of technology.
  • Posted by Omar on 19 January 2011 19:41
If you paid 17.6 million pounds you overpaid by around 5 million pounds. I hope the contracts haven't been signed.

The Sunseeker range of yachts are the best looking on the market to date and don’t cost a lot for what you get. I can’t wait until I can buy the Sunseeker Predator 130. Keep the good work up all who work for Sunseeker International!
