Berthon and Red Ensign join forces

28 July 2009

In order to provide a better service for clients in the West Country region of the UK, Berthon have announced that they will be offering a joint service with colleagues at Red Ensign, who are based in Falmouth, at Port Pendennis Marina. This new brokerage relationship will cover both new and second-hand yacht sales.

The Sales Division of Berthon is headed by Sue Grant based at the Shipyard in Lymington with offices in France, Spain, and the USA, and is committed to providing the best possible service in yacht sales in the UK and internationally. Berthon is a vertically integrated business that has been trading continuously since 1877 with a marina and boatyard supporting the far-reaching sales operation and employing over 125 people. In these difficult times, it is good to know that the company has no bank debt.

Falmouth is an important sailing destination on the UK’s south coast standing as it does at the gateway to the Atlantic Ocean; the area also offers superb local sailing. David Triggs and Simon Carter operate a well respected, professional local brokerage business at Red Ensign, with a wealth of West Country knowledge and we are looking forward to working with them.

Sue Grant said “we believe that the West Country is an important area that deserves the best possible levels of service. Red Ensign and Berthon share the same philosophy of continuous improvement in client care and we are very much looking forward to working together to enhance the levels of service and care available to clients in this important zone”.

David Triggs commented “we are delighted to be associated with Berthon in order to promote their international reach in our local area, which at the same time helps us to provide a better service to our clients”.
