From the 31 foot upwards the boats have a distinctive stainless steel arch which protects the crews' heads from the boom and allows a bimini to be fitted to and also is a good place to mount Satellite, GPS and Radar devices. The arch can have the main sail traveller fitted to it which means that the cockpit is completely clear of ropes.
The Hunter yachts, 31 and above, are Category A Ocean going boats.
